Season 5 opens with Allison being asked by DA Devalos to help with a six month-old murder case involving a close friend of his, Gabrielle. Her sister Robin was bludgeoned to death six months earlier at her cottage and she is not satisfied that the previous DA had conducted a thorough investigation.
