A literary agent named Jack McCall discovers a myterious tree in his yard after a clash with a spiritual guru. A leaf will drop when he speaks one word, so he refuses to speak at all in order to keep the tree and himself alive. However, he has to finds other method to survive because both his life and his work are affected by his choice.
