In 1960s New York, Walter Stackhouse is a successful architect married to the beautiful Clara who leads a seemingly perfect life. But when he becomes fascinated by the case of a man suspected of murdering his wife and begins to imagine what it would be like to murder his own wife whom he's not happy living with.
