Limelight

This drama comedy classic stars Charlie Chaplin as Calvero, a fading music hall comedian who manages to save young Terry, a despondent ballet dancer from commiting suicide. When Calvero asks the girl why she must try to end her own life, a desperate Terry tells him that her paralyzed legs have taken everything she has, including her dream to become a great dancer.
