Adam Bell is a glum, disheveled history professor, who doesn't show interest in anything, even his beautiful girlfriend, Mary. When he spots his exact look-alike named Anthony Clair in a movie, he tries to track down Anthony. They meet each other and from this turning point, their lives become bizarrely and irrevocably intertwined.
