A group of scientists and seamen is sent by the U.S. government to the Pacific Ocean to investigate the missing of so many ships by the time of 1868. The crew enters the expedition--and soon encounters the brilliant but paranoid Captain Nemo, who leads a deadly crusade across the ocean in his lavish, scientifically advanced submarine.
